in these testing times of the pandemic, it was really interesting to re-work the ›image on such topic, i made in 1990, for a major UK newspaper.
the current crisis is not an Apocalypse, but we might be heading in the "right" direction :-/
that original image was made during the AIDS epidemic, which killed 32 million people so far and remains with us - 1.7 million new infections in 2018.
if you want to compare the two images - the Rider is the same, the speed of the horse has increased and the question mark has been re-worked to reflect the advances in (mainly, computing) technologies. also, the Earth has been made smaller - it is shrinking, isn't it?
some current pandemic graphic data are included in the picture, and, you can see the old Rider still running - far in the background.
there are many versions of this image, as it is being continually updated, you can personalise yours but, bear in mind, it's Type 1, only 99 copies will ever exist.
