well, call it what you want, but, i do not think it is particularly useful to call it printmaking. that is its starting point but it goes far beyond it.

although a Deep Cheque Document (DCD) might look like just another printed image, and, of course, it is a printed image, and in that sense a continuation of printmaking, the difference is fundamental, the difference is of essence. like the difference between an egg and a similarly shaped stone.
a DC is entirely digital and beyond its appearance it contains information - precise and multi-layered.
also, a Deep Cheque changes during its lifetime - i.e. its production time, elements are added and removed until the last DC Document is produced.
